Fall Artists’ Workshop

Fall Artists’ Workshop
October 25 – November 1, 2025

Instructor: Russell Jewell Ed.D., NWS, TWSA

It’s time to put the Fall Artists’ Workshop at Sea View Inn on your calendar.

Towing the Line,
Boston, MA

The workshop debuted in 2021 and combines great painting locations with comfortable fall weather. The charming shabby chic inn serves two meals a day of low country cooking, adding to the ambience of the most enjoyable workshop.

All levels of artists are accepted and participants may paint in any medium although instruction will be primarily in watercolor. Weather permitting, painting will be done on location with lessons and demonstrations at both the hotel and local painting sites.

Russell Jewell’s Artist Statement A simple black square is truly an image of everything in the world, in the dark. Therefore, regardless of my subject, all that matters is light. Too often watercolor is considered a weak, fragile, medium used by the hobbyist. This myth is just part of my artistic challenge. My greatest challenge is to push watercolor to the forefront as a medium upon which to judge all others. Life, like watercolor, is spontaneous.
